Forums - Sony - GT5.... coming in 2010?

@Soriku - The PS3 outsells the 360 every month and third parties are going to ditch them because GT5 may not come out until 2010?

The amount of sales is not big enough to guarantee loyalty from the third partys, just look at SE... they are for the install base rather than a console outseling other by an small margin...

@ Neos

Seriosly, what did that add to the thread.  Also, that joke is getting really old.  Come up with something new, eh?

OMG this is getting pathetic Polyphony Digital

Sony has nothing to do with thy this game is taking so long.

OT:

:'( That's too sad. Well, Yamauchi likes his games perfect.

Polyphony is an SCEI studio.

Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is, GT5:P is available now for a bargain price and with plenty of DLC to come.

I know Polyphony is owned by Sony.

But how can you blame sony for the president of said company not being ready to release a game?

Because he works for Sony?

Anyway, as I said, they've already put out GT5:P for those who can't wait, really don't understand what all the fuss is about in this thread.

Ugh, I would warn Neos but Delaystation really is starting to ring true. I really don't understand why these games need five year dev cycles. They can't be that incompetent.

If it's because of content there comes a point when the producers should just say enough is enough, start making cuts now so we can get the game out now and at least break even.  If this thing really does come out in 2010 I really wouldn't be surprised if it too appears on the 360 just in the hopes they can make some kind of profit.

gran turismo 5 is the main reason i bought a playstation. soooo...

i hate polyphony digital, but i love em too coz another delay means it's going to be PERFECT.

and it better be. bastards. i want 5,000 cars and 500 tracks. MY NURBURGRING PLZ

when sony stated they have a ten year plan i didn't think they were talking about their game development cycles. xD

Lol.

OT: Ridiculous if true. But not entirely surprising considering the manpower they need to make this game's assets (if I recall correctly it was at least 3 man-months to create a car??)...

How many times is this going to be delayed!! I am getting tired of waiting, but they could make up for it with adding cars, tracks and damage

iono how long have they been working on this game now? I hope since 2005. A the very latest some time in 2006 where they got the final dev kits. Its been about 2 years now and if we wait until 2010, it will be close to 4 years!

Third parties are going to support both the 360 and PS3.  I was responding to his statement that "third parties are going to ditch Sony."  Do you think they will ditch Sony because GT5 may not deliver to until 2010?  How can a game that has never had a release date be delayed?

This thread is a troll trap.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

This is getting ridiculous!

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I keep hearing this theory of how games which don't have specific release dates can't be delayed. Perhaps that's technically true according to some definitions, but in reality we know perfectly well that games like Duke Nukem Forever were delayed, even though a release date was never published...
