The last couple of years have seen *some* good movie-based videogames. Spiderman II sticks in my mind, some of the HP titles have been reasonable - even Shrek got decent scores I think.
This yeah has been a huge downhill slide. I wonder if its because they are trying to hit EVERY platform, so the budget/focus per title has been reduced - and this is the result.
Look at the sales of the Fantastic 4 games (or as IGN says Craptastic 4) - the PS2 led with 12k, the 360 scored with 10k, the PS3 with 8k.
Across all platforms, might score 50k in week 1 - which is pretty crap for a movie title on SIX platforms. If they would have put all their energy into one or two platforms (say 360 only, or Wii/PS2) may well do a lot better.
