Hear hear. After my PC was upgraded, I still looked at Dead Rising and felt sad. The hole in my heart has now healed.

True, and im all for supporting companies that need to make profit and survive. MS / Sony, no sympathy. I just don't want to see Nintendo dissapear like all the rest.

Going into this gen, I had my doubts as well, especially since they were showing games like Wii sports, which was like 3 steps backwards in graphics. It confused me, because even the GC had games with better graphics than Wii Sports. It wasnt until I saw RE 4 that my doubt was cast aside. I really thought the Wii might be Nintendo's swan song at E3 2006.
Now, I don't think Nintendo's going to be in any trouble for quite a while. The public has gotten to know the Wii to a level uncommon to the industry, and their fanbase grew expontentially from expanding the market.
If I had to speculate, I'd expect the next Nintendo home console to support HD, as by 2010/2012 it will be more commonplace, put in a graphics chip comparable to the XB360 chip, and maybe even have a separate PPU (Physics Processor unit). As for media, who knows, but I think that digital distribution might not be far off.
Play Godfather Wii. Good motion beat em ups can be had with out the motion plus accessory.
