Hey, but don't lots of people say this year E3 sucks? So Nintendo could have sucked on purpose, to match the general atmosphere
Pretty much agreed, except for number 2 where I disagree slightly. Even though the presenters weren't great, anyone who followed it closely could see that the motion controls were spot on. The best part to see that is when the woman was moving the controller around (before starting to play).

I must've heard the word 'smile' over 20 times during the conference, and each time sounding less geniune than the one previous. I'm sure they rehearsed this 'fun' on stage beforehand, taking away from any genuinity. Just saying that I'm not entirely convinced that they were just having a blast on stage...
Wanting brands, not actual games? What does that even mean? Zelda is a brand, Mario too. So is Kid Icarus. Zelda is a game as well, so is Mario and Kid Icarus I fail to see how they are exclusive from one another.

I agree, the 1:1 controls looked fantastic. That being said, as mentioned before I thought that was how the Wiimote was supposed to work in the first place. Regardless, very very excited about getting this.

Making gazillions of $$, nintendo could atleast throw one bone and let the fanboys chew it till their next casual announcement megaton. |
How is E3 more dedicated to the core gamer? This is one of the few video game events that gets articles in papers like the New York Times. So, is the Times core now? I think not. This is one of Nintendo's best chances to reach the casual market without buying comercial time on TV.
Core gamers will know when a game is announced, even if it is at some small event or just online. Hell, most will probably find out within 24 hours. They seek out information on video games in a way that the more casual crowd never will. So why waste this big event on a group that doesn't need it?

i agree with all five points sadly. i think success has gone to nintendo's head.
this is a bad Analogy but its kinda like you taking a mediocre girl and turning her into a model, only for her to leave you later on for a guy with money. this e3 felt like nintendo forgot about the core audience which gave them so much and moved onto the next hot money maker and left us behind (JUST IN TERMS OF THIS E3, NOT IN GENERAL)
