Forums - Nintendo - The 5 Most Embarrasing Moments Of Nintendo’s E3 Conference

How dare they try to actually have fun on stage, when we want prepackaged buzz words, and flashy powerpoint presentations.

And as Millenium stated, they wanted brands, not actual games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

5 - Iwata talking shit, then showing only pictures of Mario and Zelda

4 - Connie talking shit, then making Shaun white look like hes a tosser

3 - Reggie talking shit, then demonstrating his inability to play WS 2

2 - Everyone playing shit music on WM shit

1 - Realising WM was the final word killing any enthusiasm generated from any previous demos, Shaun White through to WS 2. That was kind of a slow trickle piss actually.

They played a 50 Cent song?? :D

Well yea that lady pissed me off the whole time.

And don't complain about core games/casual games. Nintendo is probably only smart company when it comes to E3. Yea it might make us "hardcore (retarded term) gamers" bored or mad. But who cares. We will know of any game coming out for a good year before it comes out anyway and know every preview/hands on ect. from like 5 sites.

Nintendo is sellign consoles and will continue. Who stops buying consoles? Casuals who find the system not appealing. Then Nintendo shows this stuff and get them excited for it. If a core gamer wants a wii, they will be like ok the Wii "HAS ALREADY" Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Kart, Smash, and more just from 1st party. There are plenty of 3rd party and also plenty of 3rd party coming. (conduit anyone?)

And I'm not sure on last part if was making fun of guy looking like the director guy, but heck he sounded better than I could imagine on drums me soudning. And it looked like fun.

Those videos are incredible

Nintendo didn't show us any powerpoint presentations?

I swear! There’s more than just casual crap here! Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Sports Resort were not exactly what we had in mind when we were promised hardcore games a few weeks back. Your grandmother will be happy to hear about how things went down today (if she can still hear anything) but color us dissappointed. What happened to Nintendo’s multi billion dollar war chest? Was all the money spent on toddler market research and adult diapers?

This right here is full of fail. The article from "a few weeks back" is from December 19th... of 2006!!!

ROFL!
