It does look noticeably better, but still...
Graphics are not what is important in AC (meaning that's not a deal breaker for me), but I would have preferred if they went for a complete redesign, keeping the same basic concept but with Wind Waker-like graphics.
God knows that's not asking for much.
I know that the games not about graphics but I would loveit so much for is everyhtign looked really smooth, hopefully this one does.

Yeah, if anything I am more convinced that they are basically the same thing after looking at those screenshots.

The improvement isn't that great, you can see a pretty big difference in the water but nothing major. I guess that's the style of AC though, maybe the most you can expect is less jagged edges. To be fair if you had to choose between better visuals or better game play would you pick visuals in AC? I'd rather something new since I did everything on the DS version enough times to render this game useless if nothing changes. Fingers crossed for game play changes then. As good as AC:WW was I couldn't play the DS game again even if it is on a bigger screen...
The textures are obviously better and some higher poly count but it's very similar.
