Nas, my favourite rapper and the man who defined the 90's, is back with a new album that I've been really anticipating, and I'm listening to it, and I really don't know what to make of it. The lyrical power is so daunting, that it eclypsis some of his older work. He's still got it, and his intellectual power is only further enfasized by the mild and below par beats. There's my problem, I've been listening to new rap for so long, I've forgotten what rap is really supposed to sound like, and I realize that I love this album trapped in the 90's, but is this a recipie for comercial faliure? I hope not, but I truly think Nas has done rap justice. And that might be his down fall
Any thoughts on the album?
