Well they announced Smash Bros. in something very similar, i'd consider that being big.

I think the Media event , being as it gets the most coverage, is reserved fro the expanded audience because it's the easiest way to get the information out, core titles will be well known by any member of the gaming community if they just show it outside the big press conference.

That being said, i don't expect anything big, but if they are holding another conference they have to be talking about something.

they're "making pikmin 3." Gee what an announcement....im pretty sure we all knew that pikmin 3 was going to be coming at some point. And to make that one of their big announcements is pretty lame to me any way....some of u might be more pumped than i am and thats cool but i was pretty confident that pikmin 3 was gonna be hitting the wii sooner or later. And i like pikmin too don't get me wrong but i woulda liked for them to announce a new IP or bring back one of their old franchises like a kid icarus or a real platforming DK game (enough of all these DK spinoff crap games) or maybe a Wii Earthbound game ::drools:: or Kingdom Hearts III for the wii. Something like that i think would have been a big announcement, but them telling us that they are "making pikmin 3" doesn't get me excited at all.

Pikmin was announced as a side note, response to somebody's question, they didn't hold the event to announce it.
Its purpose was to go over the same stuff we saw yesterday...
