SO AWESOME! and it better work on older games!
It plugs into the usb, soooooo:
A third party headset may be a option OR it may work with PS3's and 360's!
-one can dream, can't they?
It is DMJ. But you can buy it separately too is what i'm thinking the article means.
I hope it gets added to any online capable game. SSBB would have been so much better with voice chat and Conduit would be pretty sweet if they incorporate it in (which they should given the time before release).

I really doubt it will, unless it has its own dedicated channel (i.e. you're running a game and, separately, using Wii Speak).
Now that I think about it, that actually sounds semi-plausible.
How far this WS can work properly? 10m?
Oh , and i think its a great idea that you can speak online without worry about putting something into your ears(especially me ,my ears're a bit smaller that normal).

I really hope it does work on old games =)

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
I was looking for a headset, but I will have to deal with this... oh well...

Oooh good point. (the third party headset part)
If you don't like the whole room mic idea, some company should put out a traditional headset that is compatible.

I bet it works withing the distance that the wiimotes themselves work properly in, which is what 3m or so for the IR pointer. Bluetooth works for up to 10m, but I think the IR remotes starts to get all crappy at about the 3m or so.
Nintendo produced it, so I'm sure it will work very well.
You know what would be really sweet, is if that giant brick was really a processor that did noise cancellation based on what the game was putting out. That way you wouldn't pick up game sounds as background noise.
