Not true. The fact that PS3 is starved for JRPGs even means more sales on ps3. JRPGs didn't perform as well on ps2 because they were everywhere. I know because I'm a big JRPG fan and even I had to skip lots of games because they were popping out left and right. The ps3 drought has had me catching up though.
Also, piracy slowed down the ps2 sales of ff12. It was released on torrents before hitting the markets. I have to say that I was such a big fan that I torrented it. I still bought the game though but most pirates didn't. This would be a problem for 360 not ps3. The fact that M$ has allowed the ability to fully install games on harddrives only helps pirates and 360 software sales will not be as great as they used to because people love the word FREE.

The ps3 version will outsell the 360 version as the Japanese numbers will put the ps3 version ahead. However I think the 360 version will outsell the ps3 version in NA.

I particularly like how all of you that claim that because FF was announce 4 years ago means that people bought a PS3 for it. That's most flawed logic ever. If anything, tech nuts that love FF already bought a PS3 for it, whereas in the other hand, us the mainstream consumer that are FF fans are waiting for a good price on the console to even considering buying it. Of course now that the mainstream consumer knows that its coming to 360 it gives the 360 a higher appeal cuz price wise its cheaper for us and the option is out there.
The PS3 version will sell more because of Japan. When this drops in 2013, the PS3 will get another 10 rated game.

I agree pretty much with the OP, though I think the 360 will get a Japan release when they've finished porting it. It'll only sell around 100k lifetime, max, though, because it will have been out on PS3 substantially longer.
But the fact that the argument has changed from "360 will never get FFXIII, NYAH, NYAH, NYAH!" to "PS3 will sell more" means something in and of itself.

yay lets argue and predict sales for a game coming out in 2 years !!
on topic: Japan will significantly add 2 million+ onto PS3 sales so on that basis i say the PS3.
