Well I don't know. The difference between Japanese and American FF sales is not so big, and combine it with the 360 selling more software... sure, Final Fantasy may be a Sony's fanboys pride and joy, but how many will say "oh, it's on a non-Sony console now too! Do not want!"... that's a possibility.

Why is that? I see it out selling the 360 version in all regions, based on the simple fact that a significant number of FF fans bought a ps3 for this game. The sales won't be close at all imo. Also 360 doesn't have the userbase advantage in others, and the gap in america would most likely be smaller.

Or I could say that the xbox 360 is the JRPG console this generation (this is undisputed), and that the most JRPG fans bought an Xbox 360.

But that, like saying FF fans knew it was coming for PS3 and therefore it will sell more on the PS3 outside of Japan, would be flawed logic.  The simple fact of the matter is that the 360 will still have a huge lead on the PS3 in sales in America when Final Fantasy 13 is released, and in America at least, the Xbox 360 will crush the PS3 for Final Fantasy sales.  Even if Europe is close, or favors the PS3, it probably won't be enough.  It could be close, though.

Then add maybe 2 million sales for Japan for the PS3.

The winner here?  Square.  And all gamers win big time just as they did with the GTA 4 multiplatform release.  The loser, yet again, is Sony.

No the difference is that Gta4 was announced for both consoles from the start. Giving early adopters the option. FFXIII was anounced for the ps3 4 years ago(?) Also final fantasy is a very fan based rpg and that is very important to consider. ALso I think we should wait a little more before declaring the 360 rpg console of the "generation". Right now it has the most rpgs, but I see the wii taking that from it.

ps3 in all regions except united states. united states sales will be relatively close. plus ps3 install base will have passed the 360's in 2009, and this game launches in 2015.

@TheBigFatJ, the sales will be very close. There will be no losers or winners when it comes to this game. Yes, xbox live will help it reach close sales to the ps3. but i have it say the ps3 version will sell more. We'll just have to see what it happens.

NA sales will be very similar 360 >ps3 but not by much like GTA 1.5 around+
others - Ps3 > 360 11-1.5m+

I strongly believe it will sell better on PS3.

My main reason for that is that why would someone buy the game on 360 when they can buy it on the PS3, plus look forward to buying Versus on the PS3 as well.

This also applies to which console will sell more at the games release.

PS3 owns Japan and others which has me confused y squeenix thinks 360 owns the west are they retarded? ps3 is outselling 360 in the West.
