Forums - Sales - Will we tack South America

Latin America already has PS3, i live in Panama and we got the consoles a week after the launch in NA, but the PS3 here cost more because is not a direct shipment like NA, EU and JP, that's what Sony is going to do now if i understood the Little Big Planet charts (Man those charts were awesome)...

Around the Network

I don't know...
As someone who lives in Brazil, I can say that most people here don't buy the 360 officially, because it's so expensive (the suggested price is over a thousand dollars). Instead, they smuggle 360s for a cheaper price.

It does help with the games, though. They're cheaper now than they were when we had to import them. They're still a bit overpriced, though.

I expect the same to happen with the PS3.

Not necessarily. At least not in Brazil. The taxes take care of that.

I´m from Brazil too. The prices here, because of taxes and stores that want too much profit, are beyond absurd. Even for games.
