This is truly a surprising turn of events. I think it has less to do with the actual game and more to do with the perceived identity of the PS3 as a console. If it's not the FFXIII next gen console of choice, then what is it....I mean GT is even more popular than FF, but it's credibility rating on the internet is compromised. Kinda like Pokemon sells more than Zelda or God of War, but the internet has this "meh" feeling about it, while it loves the latter two titles.
FFXIII was that undisputiable title that made all PS3 haters nod in respect.
The announcement was huge news for the 360, basically as if FFXIII was first announced, for 360 owners. Any huge 360 news is bad for PS3 fans. Those consoles directly compete. This hit really close to home and completely removed the heart of the PS3 > 360 argument. There's nothing left. Looking out over the vast and desolate landscape left in the wake of this megaton, we can only see a glimmer of hope on what was once a lush, rich landscape littered with contentment.
I understand depression. I know her well.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
