uhhhhhh, Nintendo still doesn't have Final Fantasy proper, and Sony still does.
What exactly is the same? Oh yeah, that is the same situation as then....good point.

Not it was still worse . Sony is getting the games , even regionally exvclusive , while Nintendo never got them lol
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
Everyone is exaggerating. It's not like in 1996. Sony is getting the games at least.

Now that is funny and creative; it's funny cause it's true.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
To be fair, i was an n64 owner in 96, and didnt know about the whole square-nintendo thing. Didnt affect my gaming stance then. And this news doesnt now.
We all know FF games are niche games anyway.....
cough

question :
Was FFVII supposed to be on N64 ????
or was it only expected by Fans ?
Did SE annouce FVII for N64 ?
or was it know SINCE THE START that FVII will come to PSX ??
just asking
THX
(and yes, MS is WORSE than Sony, a lot WORSE since they dont create game and are able to modulate the deal in their favor LONG after the developpement and the first announcement)
Time to Work !
I'm so much better today.
It's crazy what some sleep can do for the clarity of the mind.
Yesterday was bad, but who knows what's gonna happen today. PS3 is still getting FFXIII, and this game is not gonna decide the console race.
PS3 is still beating the 360 WW each week, and that doesn't look to change too much.
This is just a shitty situation though, and makes me rethink my love for SE.
I guess those owners failed just as "betrayed" as in 96 when the exclusivity is broken.

I think that the loss of exclusivity for PS3 is of similar proportions, and perhaps just as pivotal in the eventual outcome of this generation.
Sure PS3 gamers still get to play the game at least, while N64 owners were denied the series altogether, but third party exclusives are more important to Sony than Nintendo, who have the benefit of a strong first party portfolio. Indeed, third party franchises such as Final Fantasy, MGS, GTA etc have in the past defined the Playstation brand in the same way that Mario, Zelda, Halo etc represent the competition. The continued loss of such high profile third party exclusives is extremely damaging.
Of course, Sony have Gran Turismo, but nothing else in the same league. They should put more emphasis on first party development.
