Ok, maybe not so much an escape, but a place to say "who cares if FFXIII is multiplatform. If you were going to buy it for PS3, buy it for PS3, nothing has changed. Nobody betrayed you; you don't have enough of a life if you're seriously bummed that a third party game went from a PS3 exclusive to a multiplatform game."
There are twice as many 360 gamers as PS3 gamers in the US, and they're nearly even in Europe...if FFXIII is so great, let everyone enjoy it!
I don't have much more to add, I don't really like Final Fantasy anyway hehe.

QFT, I think the most interesting aspect of the whole thing is the psychology behind the people who are truly upset about it. The game has been in development for something like 2 years already, this far into development I think it is unlikely that they would sacrifice a lot of quality just to bring it to the X360.
It may not be the exact game it would have been otherwise but the increase space of a BR disc is a greatly exaggerated advantage. To clarify that I will say that when devs actually utilized it properly it is a great advantage but in most cases it is only an excuse to ignore any sort of compression and to not worry about disc usage. Good devs like SE who had a ton of PS2 work are well versed in the art of handling disc space without compromising features and quality.
