Ni-Oh was a separate game that had nothing to do with Dynasty Warriors. (Considering Dynasty Warriors is based off Romance of the Three Kingdoms book, setting being China, and Ni-Oh's setting was based in Japan). But I doubt it was Ni-Oh anyways.

well its probably not a square enix thats for sure.
No, IGN specifically stated that the game was separate from Dynasty Warriors (podcast from this year) but there was no word from KOEI since, plus the tech demo for Dynasty Warriors involved Guan Yu balancing some sphere, I think.
