No, I read it and I still think this topic proves just how stupid people can be.

this also happened when mega man 9 was confirmed multi plat,alot of people were saying that the are less interested in it

 

 

I've already admitted "interested" was probably the wrong word.

you obviously have not played metal gear solid 4, i was thinking that the 2 games that would beat mgs4 in overall quality were god of war 3 and final fantasy. now we have to wait for god of war 3.

just because I've voiced my displeasure and worries in this thread does not mean this game still doesn't have me wish it was coming out tomorrow.

The game is as someone so perfectly put it.  Compare it to RE4 on the gamecube.  The game was released exclusive to the gamecube.  Just as FFXIII is for the PS3.  The reason this is true and you can't argue is because it is released on the PS3 in Japan before the game is even started on the 360. 

So the PS3 version is the same wether exclusive or not.  because it is essentially completed while exclusive.  Then afte the game is done they do a port.  So the only one that could suffer or improve is the 360.  the ps3 is not affected at all.  So wether it pushes the ps3 is up to whether i would have pushed it from the start.  The 360 has nothing to do wth what SE decided to do on the ps3.

 

As said before, did the gamecube RE4 suffer because of the PS2 RE4.

You make a good point. However, I don't think this game is anywhere near completion and it is a given that resources would be split to make the 360 version for a simultaneous release. Also, its been a long time since "crystal tools" (S-E's in-house dev engine) was made to work on 360 so I get the feeling that this is news that has just been delayed but really occured around the same time as SO4 and The Last Remnant. M$ was just saving it for E3. RE4 was different, the port was decided upon, months after it came out on gamecube.

 

 

Don't feel like searching for exact quote from the Square enix booth thing.  (cause on laptop and mouse is downstairs, and hate moving around with little box)  

But the guy said this "Once the game is finished and released in Japan, then we will start with the language transfer and on putting it to the 360"

So yes it is exactly like RE4.  The game will be as said "FFXIII goes gold in Japan"  thats what they say when a game is done and being ready to be mass produced and shipped right?

Then they take that game and start translating to english while also making the game/engine work for the 360 when they release it in the U.S.  and Europe.  The PS3 game will be aleady completely finished (-minus japan to english) before they even start on the 360 version.

So only people that should be worried is 360 fans on the quality of the port.  PS3 fans just be pissed about the delay.

yeah i am dissapointed about ff13 all due to the realse date of 2010 in us and europe

oh yeah did anyone notice this trailer was just made up of old trailers and nothing new was shown infact im going on whim to say it was one of those trailers from the closed mega theatres.

also 13 has many major flaws already its looking very similar to 12 with its real time battle system and that sucked along with the story of 12, i have to admint the ps2 games storywriters have gone down hill and im write in thinking the storywriters of 13 are the same so it wont be very good, so it could be as sucky as 12

and now im about to get flamed
