Actually, I agree with the original post to some extend.

This is huge news for America and Europe and I´m so getting a 360 now together with all those great RPG´s but as the game is not multiplatform in Japan it will still push PS3 sales over there.

In Europe and America we´ll now see a push for both systems instead of just the PS3 while the PS3 sales increase won´t be as big as it would´ve been.

All in all it´s awesome news for me as a gamer but the market analyst inside me is pretty "meh" about it because it will just make things a bit more boring.

I love SONY but this was suck a f*** up no way they shoould have ever let this happen time to start paying for exclusives this aint last gen and ppl dont have to make it on PLAYSTATION or screw themselves its time to decide what is more important pride and ego or securing games to increase the libary.

Psychologically, this is a big blow, but actually it isn't. Why? 1st: This game is coming Christmas '09 at the earliest, so I don't think we will now see PS3 sales falling drastically. 2nd: Did multiplatform GTA IV kill PS3? No, it just didn't give them a short-term boost they would have had.

The engine of FFXIII runs on PC and was built to be compatible with the PS3. The port won´t be hard, considering how PC-centric the Xbox360 is.

This was a huge blow to Sony.
Many people accepted some of the crappy ports because they were waiting for FFXIII which was supposed to blow their minds.Now 360 has it and since the game is going to be the same it will be developed with the 360 in mind for porting and so the game isn't going to push the PS3 like they thought.



Prediction:
Disney will make KH3 with Nintendo.Yes,KH3 will be a Disney/Nintendo crossover.

Over the last two generations the biggest franchises for the Playstation family:

Grand Theft Auto
Final Fantasy

Going forward, these are no longer synonymous with the Playstation name. In a generation or two, there will be a lot of gamers who don't even know they were playstation exclusive for a while.

chasmatic: PS3 didn't lose FFXIII, lol.  360 gained a port started after the PS3 version.
