I definitely recall hearing that FF13 was going to have a simultaneous release in EU and the US.
Some Sony fans actually are saying that it is a timed exclusive for the PS3?? Just because it comes out in Japan before anywhere else? I fail to see the logic.

Even before the FF announcement I thought Microsoft had a pretty decent show, unlike others who believe that it was boring. I must be in the minority.
I was disappointed with Fable 2 though, I wanted to hear more to see if it interests me enough to justify a purchase.

Are there any SE PS3 games to boycott?  I thought Infinite Undiscovery was their first nextgen title, unless you count FFXI online.

Some people purchase their PS3's in the mindset that as JRPG lovers they would rather have FF XIII over the onslaught of RPGs the 360 was getting. It was FF XIII over all. Now with FF XIII going to 360, JRPG fans that bought into PS3 could have had a console that played almost every JRPG announced this gen, but instead they have a PS3. I'd be pissed too.

The only delusional one here is you. All the scenery stuff you've talked about (things like shit blowing up and being able destroy the environment) is all in Killzone trailers as well as other shooters. 4 different weapons is hardly amazing. The only bad guys I saw in that trailer were the human shield guys and the big brumak (?) thing. There were a lot of enemies, but again, I've seen it before especially in Killzone. The human shield: seen it in MGS. Finishing moves: God of War is all over that. Cover system: Uncharted, Rainbow Six, etc. 5 player online co-op? Resistance does 8 player with various skill types. The game looks great, and if I had a 360, I'd probably get it. But it's no more "new" or "innovative" than whatever other shooters we've seen.

Who cares. The only third-party 360 exclusive even remotely approaching FFXIII is Gears2. So they will hardly one-up Microsoft on this front.

But this is not about exceeding expectations but about showing great games and if they have an awesome God of War3 trailer and a Team Ico game they will show more games I want to play than Microsoft and this is the only important factor. Because of this I also do not understand all the Sony is dead bruhaha on this site . Microsoft still doesn't have any killer exclusives. Fable2 looked ok but not spectacular in any way, Gears2 has a great movie-feeling but is Gears1-redone, Lips is a Singstar rip-off.
I am not even saying that the current lineup of SONY is much better. Resistance2 is cool but its not as polished as Gears2, Killzone2 looks at least as good but I don't know about gameplay, LittleBigPlanet has huge potential but will the gameplay be fun?, Gran Turismo will be the best racing game this gen but only 2009, Socom and Motorstorm are nice but not huge, but some great gameplay vids of God of War3, Shadow of the Colossus PS3 or Uncharted2 and this is different.
I do understand that 360 owners now have a big reason less to also buy a PS3. But this is a problem mostly confined to this forum, most people will not own both consoles.

Sony cant counteract this.Specially since the 360 doesnt have any third party big exclusive left to steal.

Now lets be frank.FFXIII wont move much hardware both in Europe and US.Jrpg are popular but .It will move it in Japan.And thats where its exclusive to the PS3.

Congratulations to X360 owners ,but PS3 owners dont lose anything.


What worries me is that the game will be released with a big delay in western markets ,specially since the 360 development havent even started.

now lets wait for MGS 4.
