Nintendo's pass two E3s focus were this, and they didn't lose any quality, and innovated alot more than the other two imo. Hopefully it won't be as much focused, and there is a balance, but I don't see it too much as a bad thing.

Already it's sounding like this will be Microsoft's focus with motion sensing and trying to make more casual friendly games. I think Nintendo's focus has been this for a while. I'm starting to not know where Sony is coming from lately. We shall see what they have up their sleeve.

yep there will be that while at the same time there will be new games for us "hardcore" gamers
I think Nintendo may shift their focus to core gamers this E3 as the Wii will do fune with the casuals and publishers ensures there's plently of caual titles around.
I think getting MK out in the first quarter was to tweak the online components ready for animal crossin and probably plenty of other online titles.
If by innovation you mean brown, then I agree.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
Appealling to new gamers will of course generate more money if these new gamers start buying games consoles. More money should in theory mean developers will spend more on creating their games.
Or
They will use the money to fund some Max Mosley style adventures

In order to keep developing new improved hardware all the companies need as big an install base as they can muster. But this shouldn't effect "Hardcore gamers" as the will still be software developers making games for the hardcore market as i'd guess that hardcore gamers still buy more games per person then casual gamers.

I'm not sure how you draw this conclusion but it might be one of the most illogical comments I've ever heard regarding the video game industry.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
Nintemdo has lost quality by the masses since they have gone after the casual gamer, i just hope sony does not do the same.
