Forums - Gaming - Pre E3 - Who will be the winners and losers?

Microsoft has the most to win or lose. Ahead of PS3 for install base. Hope it's not like last year, where they try to appeal to casuals by talking about that quiz game (this year it would be Lips) for half the show. Show the hardcore why they should stick with you, MS.

Nintendo just needs to have something that will have some mainstream press, but it should be easy since the press is all over Nintendo. As far as the hardcore, there will be something but don't get too excited.

Sony doesn't matter. A lot of people are buying PS2s and PSPs. PS3 is picking up steam and won't matter to Sony until the PS2 drops to insignificant numbers. Sony will push PS3 for five years after they stop producing PS2. I used to laugh when Sony said that, now I see it.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I agree with the majority of you guys. The Wii will have the least to prove and has several IP's that they could announce (mario games, zelda games etc) and having a big install base already, all they need to do is keep the goods coming.

Sony is gathering momentum now and what they really need to do is start releasing more info and dates on some of these big games that everyone seems to be waiting for (GT5, KZ2, GoW3, LBP, HOME Motorstorm 2, etc). If they fail to do so, they will lose the momentum they have been steadily building and lose a lot of potential buyers. having failed to deliver on launch, I doubt they can afford to keep making the mistake of constant delays again and again and i'm sure they are pretty much aware of this. If they aren't, then god help them, no one else will. they cant keep takig heir loyal fan base for granted, its wrong to do so.

Microsoft has the most to prove. Having got a lead on the PS3 they know how stupid they would look if they lose to it now, if anything it would be embarrassing. Other then a copy of Singstar and its microphones (im sure Sony would be super happy with this lol) a possible copy oh PS HOME (Sony will be even more delighted) and a possible copy of the wii-mote or the six axix, MS will have to prove they can do more then just copy Nintendo and Sony to keep they users entertained. If they don't, the media will slaughter MS (unless they buy the media out too :p).

Strangely, I see all 3 having the same strategy as last year, where Sony won according to most gaming outlets and Nintendo won with the fitness crowd (which is the casual public).

I think Microsoft could win by announcing more games for next year since their lineup is almost as good as Sony's for this year. The triple Halo attack would be interesting.

Nintendo will announce a few games but no one seems to think they need to.

Sony will once again pimp games for both this year and next. We'll see if Microsoft can match them, because like this time last year, we have very little idea what's coming next year.

Oh, and just like Sony's price cut last year, when the stock of 20GBs are out, I expect them to drop the price of the 60Gb to $300.

They also need to lower the Elite because I don't know why anyone would get it over a PS3 with the current prices.

Damn, double post. I might as well use this space to ask: what is this lips game? Is it basically a Singstar ripoff like Scene It was a Buzz ripoff?

Pff, I think everyone haves a different view of winning... I mean if they announce KH3 on the Wii then Soriku probably will see it as Nintendo winning E3 even if PS3 gets 50 exclusive JRPGS announced , Soriku still would not care KH3 is on the Wii => Nintendo wins;.

For a sony fan SOTC 2 could be a reason why Sony won it..

And then it begins;..

'Who won E3?' Thread.

Wii fan => Wii won because they got KH 3!
Sony fan => Sony won because they got SOTC 2!

Wii fan => Haha you are so stupid KH 3 sells more
Sony fan => So what? Everyone knows SOTC => KH franchise..
Wii fan => We have KH 3 NANANA
Sony fan => Shut up bro!!!
Wii fan => I am not your bro, SISTER!!
SOny fan => I am not your sister, BRO!

*Banhammer time*..

I

Sony seems to be going in big this year, but as we learned with the launch of the Wii, NEVER COUNT NINTENDO OUT! Am looking at the both of them. MS seems a tad weak...

4 ≈ One

i think sony will win with M$ trailing behind in last.

pluss it all depends on what ninty does though, if they carry on being arrogant and waist time by talking about sales because they dont have hardly anything to show like they did last year then they will be last, simple as that really.
