You absolutely need to play the Mario & Luigi games-- they are much truer to SMRPG than Paper Mario was.

It was my first game, but I don't see where you are getting at nintendo remaking Metroid, or Zelda. All of their remakes are for handhelds, and there are very few of them. Mario Kart doesn't have any remakes, and as for Mario(main series) you might be right, but I don't know for sure. For some reason though i am getting the feeling that you are implying that new games in the series are remakes.

Man, I wouldn't count on a new Mario RPG. After all, they've given us Paper Mario on the N64, Paper Mario TTYD on the 'Cube, Mario & Luigi on GBA and then another Mario & Luigi on DS. Plus Super Paper Mario on Wii. Like it or not, rant all you want, those are the official sequels to the SNES' Mario RPG.

If perferring the PS3 over the 360 makes me a fanboy.. I guess I am guilty..

i want it too

Q: Is there anything holding SE or Nintendo from
making a brand new one??? Or is it b/c of SE's tight
schedule of games, patents, etc? Anyone know?

all those other games..._

Mario RPG is already on VC in Japan, so for the rest of the world it's simply a matter of when.

Mario RPG is a great game, but I hope they dont port it over to the DS. Some games just need to remain elusive and sought after, look at Chrono Trigger DS, kinda takes some of the magic away from the SNES one.

Suspense304 some who are not in the US and Japan haven't played it. The game looked awesome but I never played it and want it asap. I have heard many great things about it
