Forums - Gaming - Rock band 2 info leak

You dont have to compare GH 3 to RB anymore and thats sure as hell not what Im doing.

Now you have to compare all the released info of GH:TW to RB2
GH:WT looks to be the better game imo.

@windbane
Its all opinion. I dotn like what theyve released. A few every now and then but thats it

Plus I'm expecting RB2 to be far better than GH:WT. I don't know how much freedom the song creation system is going to have in GH so that could be a wild card but otherwise I can't see how RB would be inferior to GH.

Yes i'm quoting myself.

Time has passed and with E3 I saw the music creation system in action and fell in love.  At this point I am definitely buying GH:WT.  I'll buy the RB2 disc if they confirm that the PS3 instruments work with both games just like the 360 instruments.

Can people download other people's music? Because if you can, I see copyright laws coming into play as people remake Zeppelin songs and such.

Through GH Tunes you can download others music yes.

But for copyright reasons like you brought up you can't record vocals. So even if you do a perfect cover of a Led Zeppelin track, there won't be any vocals with it.

Ah, no vocals.  I see.  Still could be interesting.

They said something about doing a melody/keyboard track for vocals but I have no idea how that would work. I don't think they've showed that off yet.
