Forums - Sales - 360 Pro/Premium already $299...

I was in Target earlier and Xbox 360 Pro/Premiums could be bought for $299.

Pretty fair to say we're "going to" see a price drop don't you think.

Should be interesting to see how sales pick up for 360 and if the other models drop price.

Was the $25 gift card offered? And how many were left?

The other models should also become cheaper, otherwise who would buy an Arcade for $279 when for $20 you get much more.

Yeah I think we'll see the other models get cheaper but the fact that we haven't heard about it seems a bit suspicious to me.

Check out the website:

They are sold in-store only. The website also shows the other models at the same old prices.

Probably be available first thing Sunday since it is listed for the Sunday ad.

It seems that the price drop is just a clearance to introduce a 60GB model at the old price. Otherwise they would also cut prices of Arcade and Elite.

Woops...sorry TheSource, you beat me to it...might as well lock my thread.

I think it would be a good idea to just have the 60GB model, less models mean more cost consolidation and less consumer confusion.

Yes, in that way it would be a good idea. But that would effectively mean raising the price, since there wouldn't be any Arcades.
