Hey All, I have been reading some strange threads that have really been misleading in terms of what games are coming out for the remainder of 2008.  Specifically looking at the 360 and PS3, which has the better lineup?  Here is my comparison.

Xbox 360:

1. Gears of War 2 - Shooter

2. Fable 2 - Action RPG

3. Banjo 3 - Platformer

4. Too Human 1 - Action RPG

5. Infinite Undiscovery - JRPG

6. Last Reminant  - JPRG

7. Halo Wars - RTS

8. Left 4 Dead - FPS

9. Tales of Vespira - JRPG

PS3:

1. Resistance 2 - FPS

2. Little Big Plant - Platformer

3. Afrika -

4. Socom Confrontation - Shooter

5. Tekken 6 - Fighting

6. White Knight Chronicles - JRPG

7. Heavy Rain  - Action

For me, I think the 360 lineup is better.  Gears 2 IMO is probably the biggest game of the year going forward.  In addition, lots of variety allows people of different tastes to have something to look forward to the rest of the year.

Thoughts...

I have a wierd feeling that Sony is going to show us new games at E3. What about Wii?

PS3 has the better lineup. LittleBigPlanet will be the 2nd best game of the year, after MGS4. The PS3 also has the 3rd best game of the year, Resistance 2.

MS also said something about 2 secret games.

I dont no about that.  Gears 2 will be better IMO then resistance and LBP I am still unsure about.  I think Fable 2 is a top 5 game.

Do not forget Alan Wake and Halo Chronicles. They are both gonna be huge.

Thats pretty wishful thinking. I think sales will tell otherwise. In terms of mass popular appeal to guage what the average user thinks is the best I'd say:
1. GTA4

2. Gears 2

3. MGS4

4. Fable 2

5. Halo Wars.

360 for me, but lets see what Nintendo puts out. So far xobx 360 has 6 confirmed games coming out that I want, while PS3 and Wii only have 3.

Wow. Not to attack your tastes or anything, but looking just at what we know is coming at E3, you only see three games you're interested in?! Mind blowed!

 If I was a gambling man I would bet that according to you PS3 the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th best game of the year.
