As you might of known, Television will be going digital on February 17, 2009. Its supposedly gonna be the biggest moment in television since color. What do you think digital will bring to television and how will it shape television. Also if it makes an impact, will these give companies like sony, microsoft, and nintendo to shift to digital gaming for the next generation? I know that might sound weird but think about it. What do you guys think?

well in the uk digital has been great with more interactive stuff on tv better teletext to find out about sport/news ect but digital wont change alot because the piture dose not look any better, but it will when the bbc start to broadcast there hd channel on freeview ( the uks digital platform ) in 2009

Well duh... You have to get a HD-TV.. then you will notice the improved quality.. But I went digital for.. almost a 1.5 year now.. loving it..

I think he's referring to digital services like digital cable or satellite, which the US already has extensively. This is a digital switch for every single TV though, no more analog over the air.

is it possible to hae digital gaming or did that already happen?

in the uk we have both at the momnent analog and digital but to get digital u need to buy a freeview box and u plug this in to the same arial but by 2012 all regions in the uk will change to digital so all tvs will need a box

Analog is already killed in the Netherlands and about digital gaming... well it's like playing some flash games on your tv..
