Forums - General - Europe vs USA: Where would you rather live?

I love traveling in Europe, but I enjoy too many of my freedoms here in the US. I do also like the opportunity here. There is also such a diverse range of climate and landscape here I have alot of choice on where I want to live.

Btw, for those that say they don't like the South, be careful how you judge those people. While there are a great amount of bible beaters there, they are also some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I just make it a habit not to talk to them about religion. The only thing that sucks about the South is the weather.

I give this thread a 9.4.

So all of Europe (Continent) ~versus~ United States (Country)

...

Maybe you should have asked would you rather live in Europe or North America...

Yups you are right but anyway this thread doesn't mean anything.  You can't really compare it because you had to live in both for some time. How can you honestly say you prefer to live in Europe or USA without having the experience of living in both for years and then again living in New York is not the same as living in Texas same for Europe.

Never been to USA and I've only been in England... So I can't really say which one but I wouldn't mind living in Europe. :3

USA

I like having freedom.

I live in Europe so i choose Europe, i had the chance to live in the USA for good but i preferred UK, USA is very cool place though and i am visiting again sometime this year

The US is a great place to visit, large portions of food, everything is so cheap compared to London, but I  didn't feel any more "free" when I was there :)

Canada on the other hand, is very tempting the people are very friendly and polite, the country is beautiful  with it's wide open vistas and yet..

I would choose to live in Europe  as you have so many cultures, foods and histories to experience and discover, of course England is where I am happiest and will always come back to, after all there is no place like home.

Both are flawed and incredibly crappy places to live if you're pessimistic enough. Frankly I'd much rather live in the U.S. because many parts of Europe look far too crowded.

Let's face it, both suck. The planet sucks. Ignorant idiots are everywhere and there isn't a single perfect leader in the world. All governments are flawed. Any nation with decent living conditions manages to rape you of your money in one way or another.

But really, I'd much rather live in the United States. We get top priority on a lot of things including TV shows, movies, and videogames. Our currency may suck but a life of crime and deceit (and I'm talking about politics/business) will net you enough income to buy a solid gold statue and piss on it.

Unless I could live in Scandinavia, I would much prefer the U.S.

Suck it.

Ohh, and the reason Europeans aren't as fat as Americans is because we've been prospering for several decades and overdosing on the high of consumerism. Wait a few decades, and your countries will be full of fat people. Enjoy!

Amen! you said what was on a lot of people's minds, and you said it proudly!

especially the last paragraph. now that's the truth
