Here are the lowest prices after MIR (newegg.com), their performance in bioshock, and calculated price/performance.

Bioshock is GPU limited, so any new $100+ dual-core or better CPU will do.

 

Best choice less than $100: HD 3870

Best choice less than $150: HD 3870

Best choice less than $200: HD 4850

Best choice $250 or above: HD 4870

Best choice $350 or above: 9800GX2

 

 

 

 

 



I ran the demo of Bioshock with,

GPU - 7800gt
CPU - e2160 @3.0ghz
RAM - 2gigs DDR2

I had most of the settings turned up and it wasn't a totally pleasant experience. It would be playable and hover around 25-35 FPS (even lower or higher) depending on what was going on. It's getting to be about that time to upgrade the GPU.

you know you can check if you can run a game on www.srtest.com also it show the required specs to play it on minimum and maximum
