Activision Guitar Heroes is Next.

I am looking forward to them suing RIAA. They surely have something to do with music/rhythm.

go Konami go! kill MTV the home for everything but music.

It wouldn't make sense for them to stop either RB or GH. They can make a lot more money from licensing fees for very little work. Trust me, if their patent holds there will be a settlement and much cash will change hands, but the games will still sell.

I don't think konami wants to stop ROck band, they just want there royalty check over the music tech they have a patent for. I doubt they will sue Activision until the GH world tour comes out.

I think the patent has to do with the microphone tech used in rock band. For all we know the rock band guy striaght ripped the programming code from karaoke revolution and konaimi just found out about it.

Why are you surprised about this? Give credit where credit is due, simple as that.

The thing is, Konami worked out a licensing agreement with Activision for Guitar Hero a long time ago, but after Harmonix left for whatever reason they wanted to leave, they didn't make one specifically for their game. I mean they should have seen this coming one day or another!

any company that tries to copy Bemani/Konami patent games are likely to get sued.

Not Dance Factory that game was horrible.
