it doesn't ahve anything to do with the game type,,,it's done by OS,,,so user can choose if he/she likes to video chat in the game or not.

lol really?? Id tryvery hard to make sure the guy didnt drop his last card. might be concealing something i dont wanna see :D
why be defensive and skeptical.. it is a feature, and a good one.
I had just thought of this for the first time the other day actually.
except my idea was to have movies stream through that little pip window as well.
Why not?
If the in game video chat feature is possible, then anything pip should be possible.
(like watching movies/playing games)
especially when you consider it is probably easier to display a saved movie from the hard drive in the pip window instead of a streaming video feed over the network.
Way to keep us hoping and dreaming for more Sony.
I am psyched.
- now that is an actual response to this thread. Breathe it in boys!

You can still talk to people in game during a round of Call of Duty or Resistance.
You just can't talk to people playing other games.
Out of all the complaints I have left for the system(yes I'm an owner) cross game voice chat is probably the first and foremost. Then I pretty much just have one major complaint.
On voice I should add, this needs to include some kind of unified structure and I need a mic like my 360's. Something comfortable and I can plug into my controller or whatever. Clear and comfort being the most important.
So how would they implement a video chat with multiple people playing, cycle through everyone? I can see this as a great add-on for a social interaction while at Home or enjoying a two-player coop but it won't work in a multiplayer game.
