Forums - Gaming - Does anyone here actually care about online play or DLC?

I hate DLC. Online play is icing, but I prefer that single/local multiplayer be superb first (exception: FPSs, where I just go to multi)

@noname2200, why do you hate DLC :s?

I love DLC!! I only mildly enjoy online play, though. Everyone is either too damned good, or don't want to play what I want to play. Soon, though. Very very soon.........

It makes me feel like I'm being nickle and dimed. Sure, it's nice to have an extra Guitar Hero song for $2.50 or whatever, but I'm playing a $50 game that contained 70 songs, and some of that $50 went towards the game engine and other features. In other words, it feels to me like I'm paying double or more for a similar product. Then there's the DLC that should have been in the game from the get-go, but which now costs me a buck or two to get (again, not a good value compared to the original game).

Online play is very key to my purchases. Co-op online is awesome. Me and some dude beat Contra in under 10 minutes.

I can see your point but they have to stop development somewhere and release the game.  And buying songs via DLC is better than a company releasing an entire new game(which is exactly the same) based on only new songs.

I definitely care

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Online is cool but not as much as local multiplayer.

DLC is great for music games where you can actually shop for the content you want. DLC in DDR one day maybe??

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Online play adds lasting appeal to my games.... didn't help with GTA4 though. As for DLC, I like it as long as it's worth the money...

4 ≈ One

online play is important to me for some games, it depends what the game is though, Mass Effect has no online yet is one of the best games this gen. DLC annoys me, especially when i have to pay for it, i think its just a companys way of screwing me for more money.
