it gives the younger generation of gamers a chance to experience what other gamers are reffering to.

This.

My first RPG ever (excluding Pokemon) was FFX so i missed a lot of gems and Square's approach is ideal for me and many people like me.

I will be quite happy if they make an FF7 remake for ps3.

How else would they fund the 5-6 year development cycle of Final Fantasy XIII. It's gonna make truckloads of money for sure but the workers probably need to be paid some time before the final release date of the game.

maybe making actually good games, that will sell more than just an average spin off/remake?

In the past, they used to that, and every game they launched, sold at least more than one million copies, laughing their asses off. Note: past=  ps one squaresoft

If and when they remake FF7, then it will be too much.

I dont mind they're remakes, as long as it hasnt been remade once before. AKAK the FF 1-6 remakes. I am getting tired of those, and really only looking forward to IV since FF IV is my 2nd fav FF. I seriously wont mind a FFVII, FFVIII, or FFIX remake. Hell I would love to see an actual FFT remake, not a port.

That is not how it works anymore.  The game has to be market well if the game wants any hope of selling 1 million copies.  That is why they are doing remakes.  They are making The Last Remnant FYI

rendo you hit the spot!.

square enix games are classics.
still
they haven't go to the state of nintendo, mario is a milked cow that its asking to be killed.

even though some people would love a super mario RPG sequel or remake.

now isn't to far fetched of a mario RPG sequel or new story of the wii... actually its more likely than kh jumping platform
