Unless the engine was modified. But hey! Weren't you the one trying to convince me a few weeks earlier that the Wii's graphics card was stronger than most thought, and I was the skeptic?

Well it may be possible, and somebody is already trying, but its not likely that this would be the game to show off Unreal engine 3 on the wii(if it turns out to work on it). The creators of this engine, Epic games, may be telling the truth or not when they say its too powerful for the wii. Also as far as I know the people who are trying to port it to the wii are far from done, and I doubt Capcom is making a game that uses the Unreal Engine 3 for the wii. Also while the wii is definately more powerful than most people think, I'm still skeptical about it running a new engine that pulled of graphics like Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Oddysey( I think), Unreal Tournament 3, etc. So chances are more likely that it isn't a wii game that they were refering to when they said it will be using unreal engine 3.

Relax dude, I was just teasing you. You should know my technological illiteracy means I'm worthless in the tech department (Did you ever finish that explanation you were talking about back then?). Besides, from the link I put it up I'm pretty sure they're going to try to upscale the RE4 engine (they certainly were trying last year), although things change sometimes.

Still, we're drifting here: what do you think it is? I can only assume that Flock is a codename, since it doesn't seem to add up with any of their current-gen releases. Unless I'm missing something (I haven't played any of their HD games too much, except for Dead Rising).

I decided not to, because alot of threads that talk about graphical capabilities these past few months usually degrade to people either A posting picture comparisons, or B assuming the Op has been saying things they haven't said. Also I am going to wait until after E3 if I do decide to post it just because I want to see what nintendo does with future games on the Wii and the techniques they use.

I'm hoping for an ReWii. I was just thinking about Umbrella Chronicles type of game, but in the form of a first person shooter instead of a light gun shooter. I could also see it being a phoenix wright game, since they didn't specify if it was on home consoles or not. I don't know for sure what it could be though.

They did, actually. "There's a bullet with our name on it if we speak of their ultra top secret Wii title..."

This is an HD game, the one using the UE3. The Wii secret project was MM9, they just developed it in 1 month, after the bad impresion Spyborgs and neopetz left, just in time for E3 so that some Wii owners won't feel bad about lackluster support.

Capcom just doesn't give a damn about Wii games that actually use the technology. Ports, rehashes or old school games is what Wii will get. Oh and MH3 in 2067 :P

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

@Desroko Um I was talking about the "next gen favorite" part not having to be on home consoles or not. Obviously its an already existing franchise.

I doubt it is MM. These articles were made after MM9 was announced. ALso this sounds more of a retail title. ALso they announced MH3 for 2009. Do you want them to make a mediocre game for 2008, or a good game for 2009?

I hadn't considered that. It's possible that it is a portable game, but for whatever reason I don't think most people think of the portables when they hear "next-gen." I suppose the chances of it being Phoenix Wright would depend heavily on how Harvey Birdman did on the system, and what Capcom thinks of the sales.

No, I'm going to keep dreaming that it's RE 4.5. That's borderline impossible, of course, but isn't that what dreams are all about?

Then you should probably say that. The post to which I was referring to is unclear

Next Gen? So it's for the Nintendo Twoii?

In all seriousness, when can we finally just call it current gen? I realize the PS2 is still around, but we're over 2.5 years into this generation.

NO

i still think it's DR2 considering the project name and with svensson saying he hasn't heard any news of it instead of flat out saying no.
