Forums - Microsoft - Gamer Waits Two Years For Xbox 360 Repair

seems fishy, but it's not like he gave up on the 360. That says he is very patient, or happy with his purchase. IDK. It does seem fishy though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... Who the hell would let that ride for 2 years? I am calling bullshit. He must have been retarded or something. I know after a month or so I would have been calling everyday.

Yeah I'm going to say lying as well. Usually when you do warranty related repairs, you would find out how long it will take (I know I did when I made the call to MS), and if it goes longer than that period (or if it is for a long period if you didn't find out the repair time) you would obviously call and check.

Also, I don't recall MS emailing me to let me know they're sending my console back AND the million dollar question, why would he buy a new console instead of chasing up the original one?

A brand new XBox 360 Elite with 30 games and hush money. I would be suing MS if this happened to me.

Two months is a long enough wait. Two years is ridiculous.

For the record between 3 to 6 weeks is the average amount of time a X360 takes to be sent away, fixed and then returned to the owner.

The UPS guys decided they'd have a little fun with the system before returning it to the guy. They ended up getting so drunk (and this drunk state lasted 2 years) they forgot that the 360 wasn't theirs. 2 years later they finally got a hangover and realized their mistake.

I bet it was beer. *looks at sig* tsk tsk.

Yeh right I'd like to see you try to sue MS. Besides the whole thing sounds fishy. If it is true it sounds more like the shipping service had the problem not MS specifically.

I don't know what to think about that, on the other hand it's not uncommon to see people go out and buy a new Xbox while waiting for theirs to be repaired. Maybe he just did that and forgot he had a broken 360 somewhere in the wild and then lied about being the very patient type so he won't look like a morron when asked why he didn't enquire about it sooner.

However that may be two years for a repair is just ridiculous.

thats pretty sad...he should definately be given more for his patience
