So last night I decided to put my 500 Wii points to good use and begin playing LoZ for the first time since I was 12. This time however, no maps of any kind.

wow this game is so amazing. I am currently searching for the 5th dungeon. I have the blue ring and the bracelet of power. I have found every single hidden heart container and a lot of free money as well as door repair fees. I also have the best sword.

I have played for about 3 hours. My 5yr old son watched me play the first hour or so before he had to go to bed. I think tonight I should be able to finish the game and then start the 2nd, harder, playthrough.

Now that I'm older, I wonder why I thought some of it was so hard. Granted, I have a decent memory of some of the items locations as well as how to get through the lost woods. But, I used to literaly be afraid of some of the enemies. Now, it just a matter of how being more patient I think. When I was a kid I used to rush through it and that undoubtly made the game harder.

Oh well, I'll update this with my final thoughts on the game tomorrow. So far, It's as brilliant a game now as it was when I was 12.

Excellent choice. That was one of the first games I got on VC too!

I have all that on the GC Zelda collector's edition, Zelda, Zelda 2, OOT, MM. Good stuff. =)
5th dungeon.. trying to remember. was that the one you had to burn the bushes off to the eastern part of the world, or was that 7?

beat all 3 files on my old gold cart, which still saves, twice main quest once second quest.

LoZ was the first game I download on the VC. Probably my favourite NES game and one of the first videogames I've ever played. As soon as I got points I had to download the game. Worth the 500 points even though the game gets really difficult.

level 8 is under a bush that is in the middle of a one lane walkway. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.

Either way, I'm trying really hard to not google the answer. :) I'm sure I will find it tonight.

So far I know where 6,8, and 9 are located. I have not found 5 or 7.

Isn't the 5th dungeon in the lost hills? It should be... at least in one of the quests... You go up 3-5 times and it should be there... The Lost Hills are right next to a waterfall...

Seventh dungeon is either under the dry lake near the Fairy in the Dead Woods, or you have to burn a bush in a green bush area... I know exactly which bush... I just can't think where it is in the map... To the right of the opening screen and up a bit I think... South of Level 2... Somewhere in there.

That's where I was going to focus my hunt for the 5th dungeon tonight. I'm sure I'll find it.

7th, I think is where I have to do something that will cause a empty fairy lake to dry up. I found this spot, but I think I need some special tool to dry the lake.

The green tree your thinking of is where level 8 is. That's near level 2 and is a tree blocking the path.

Yeah, use the flute in the lake to dry it up and open the 7th dungeon. In the 2nd quest the 7th dungeon is in the grave yard I think... You have to use the flute again, or push a tomb to open the 7th dungeon...

I can't get passed the first one lol

this game is too hard
