Forums - Nintendo - It's rather sad, no?

GC is my worst console ever. It had no winning eleven in NA so i had to import it + buy a freeloader. Then when i played it, it was the worst winning eleven i ever played.

Then there is mario sunshine, what a piece of crap, that game is impossible, what the hell were they thinking?

Then mario kart, are u really going to tell me it was good? The N64 one was awesome, but GC version didn't do anything to make it better. On the wii with the wheel it's the funnest mario kart yet.

I loved goldeneye & perfect dark, but timesplitters felt like the same thing, nothing new.

& finally Smash bros was terrible on GC. Most of the characters added were clones & forward + B moves for a lot of the older characters that they added were terrible. Wii version the new characters are so much better.

To me, GC was an epic fail.

Then there is mario sunshine, what a piece of crap, that game is impossible, what the hell were they thinking?I've beaten that game multiple times. It wasn't something revolutionary like Super Mario 64 but it was still fun.

I don't have a Gamecube, but I've played Metroid Prime at a friend a couple of years ago. Being a Metroid fan, I was about to buy a GC but then the Wii came out and got that instead. The 2 Primes are the only games I own, and I recently got Sunshine from a friend. I'd like to try Eternal Darkness and Pikmin, but there's just not enough time.

I had a gamecube. Didn't really have much that interested me at the time. Like the N64... a few really awesome games... but the Playstation competitor got most of my time.

Cube didn't have any strategy RPGs that weren't available on PS2 that i was aware of. Probably was one of the larger problems.

Games I really enjoyed Glaidus, Eternal Darkness, Custom Robo, Brawl and... that's it really.

Others were ok... nothing great. Future Tactics I found really fun but I have a hard time recommending to others, really it just shows how a good SRPG/Gun game could have a battle system that works. Valkrie looks to have taken the lesson of that game well.

Since then i've played Killer 7 which ruled.

Fire Emblem?

OT; For the first half of last generation I had a gamecube and a ps2, and while preferring the PS2 I thought the gamcube was an excellent console. After that I got into PC gaming and neglected both consoles. Now I play both pc and console games, and I think it is the best way to go.

Ah yeah.  Fire Emblem.  Well aside from that.  It's only one afterall.  Surprised i forgot it.  It's on my list of games to play.

I love my gamecube with Melee, Sunshine and Double Dash, my third favorite console ever.

For me was not as good as the other two, GC saw less then 10% of my gaming time last gen... but its better than the 0% that the Wii is seeing. The kind of games that the GC had was more mature, I liked that over the wii

I didn't realize how good the GC was until I got one ... it was the last of its generation of consoles that I picked up.

I just wish now that I had bought Star Fox Assault instead of trading Pikmin 2 for it.

Mike from Morgantown

PS -- I had $4 in Pikmin 2 as I bought it at a Sears dumping sale and I had not even started the first Pikmin. Didn't realize how stellar it was.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
