1. Have you and your cousin finally realized you can play Wii games sitting down? Cuz once you do that'll increase your enjoyment even more! 
2. If you haven't played Viewtiful Joe on the PS2 get the GC version. It's a solid game and you can find both VJ and VJ2 for under $10 pretty much everywhere! Also Eternal Darkness is a solid title you may want to check out.

^ Seconded. Normal rechargeable batteries are cheaper and you can use them for other stuff too! I have two pairs, and I use them both for the Wii and 360's controller.

as a PS3/Wii/PC gamer I agree about 95% with you DmeisterJ. I kinda like the channel interface, it's functional and looks friendly though it does get a bit cluttered if you get alot of channels. There is probably a way to organize it or move channels around, I've just never bothered looking.
Other than that I completely agree. The online component really sucks...hard, I loathe friend codes and that is the one thing that keeps me from playing SSBB religiously. The online is so awkward and terrible. The hard drive thing is a pain for some but honestly I've only used a little over half of my space and I've had my system for over a year. Most games I DL use very little room, but I don't get many wiiware or N64 games.
I have about 12 games on my wii and I love it to death. Even with my new PS3 which I got about a month ago, I still use my wii way more. It's a great little box and it deserves every bit of praise it gets.

I'm glad you are enjoying it, it was not such a great experience for me, I don't love the motion control and the games are not the kind I like, and the most terrible part is the online gaming, and since I'm a dedicated FPS online gamer wii is not the best, but its only personal taste.

Uh, I have those, and I get about 15+hours per charge. In fact, I hugely recommend them, and all but one of my buddies have gotten them now.
