Well it's actually called the Sony forum, and Blu-Ray is Sony's baby, so it's fine.

I suppose it's a good thing for there to be just one format out there. I don't really care though...I'm fine with DVDs.

 The association is SUPPORT for blu-ray. Sony CREATED it (at least the vast majority of it). That's what "Sony's baby" means.

Quantum, buddy, there's really nothing wrong with this thread. Blu-ray was developed by Sony, Furthermore, the PS3 uses it, and it's success or failure as a medium will have an impact on the PS3's future.

As for the story. I have no doubt that Blu-ray is and will beat HD-DVD. I'm just not so sure it will ever become the standard medium. 

 thats the truth, since the beginning of the year Blu-Ray has controlled the HD Disc market. Thats 5 nearly 6 months striaght control. Universal Pictures needs to become neutral.. they have to be effected by this in some way. They are losing a ton of sales that they could easily be receiving. 

dam the format war could be over by the end of the year... if walmart folds next then its a wrap for HD dvd.... i remember trying to rent a blu disc in blockbuster a couple months ago but the guy told me they wouldn rent out any HD discs until they decided on one format...
