It doesn´t make sense, it will broke the compatibilty or it will force the devs to use some sort of compatibily mode, and probably the DS will need a more powerfull ARM...

By me:

Made with Blender + LuxRender
"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

what the hell is with all the people going "bad for batteries?"

come on folks, slash GBA support and use the extra space to throw in a bigger stylus and a larger battery and you're set.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Uhhh I think you guys who are spurting "Bigger screen = lower life" are forgetting something...

Bigger screen = more internal space = bigger battery = same/more life

By life end:

  • Wii- 100 million+
  • Xbox360- 35~40 million
  • PS3- 30 million
  • PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
  • NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical)  - FAILURE
  • NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!

You're forgetting that some of the DS games will allow you to transfer data from your GBA games (FFTA -> FFTA2; Pokemon R/S/E/FR/LG/ -> Pokemon D/Pe/Pl; Golden Sun: The Lost Age -> Golden Sun 3 etc.), right?

Not to mention all the DS games that require the GBA slot (*cough*RecentlyReleasedGHIV*cough*).

That slot ain't going nowhere till the DS2

Bigger screen = less batteries life , very bad for me.

While that may be true, there were rumours a while back stating that a new DS redesign wouldn't have a GBA port. If thats correct then that gives nintendo more room to put in a bigger battery, thus negative the larger power consumption of the bigger screen. To be honest I've been waiting for something like this for a while as 4:3 is butt ugly.

EDIT BTW its clearly not an official pic as the screen aren't aligned correctly lol. I'd still love a DS with a widescreen though. It'd make me buy more games for it.

It's a fake!

That may be true. But a widescreen would be awesome :P
