They were both arrested.  Her for beating up the guy (over 7' tall) and he for not registering as a sex offender.

She wishes that she could have done more damage.

While police and prosecutors have condemned Gibson's actions, the attack has made her a hero among bloggers and commentators on Internet message boards. When the attack made the news, many in the blogosphere lauded her for protecting her daughter.

She got really mad when her neighbors didn't care that a sex offender was living in their neighborhood.

"She is not a soccer mom who is upset with a sex offender. This lady is not the poster child for this," Troyer wrote in an e-mail, referring to Gibson's record of an arrest for drug possession and a traffic infraction.

 

what is it about trailer parks?  We get a lot of good stories from there.

Both deserve to be arrested =\

She should have reported the unregistered sex offender to the proper authorities rather than going vigilante.

I didn't see anyone saying that men wouldn't do that, I think it's a given. You are right, though.

 

Anyways I'm confused... Did she beat up the child molester for trying to molest her child, or did she randomly walk up to the guy and start kicking his ass?

 

Also, how the hell did she manage to kick his ass? I wonder why he didn't fight back...maybe there's more to his story than "child molester bad man." He seemed decent enough to not fight back, unless of course he was incapable of doing so.

 

Note: I'm not saying that being a child molester is good -at all- but rather people tend to get labeled things and their real stories aren't so black and white. Maybe he was 18 and his girlfriend he used to have was 17, and he got in trouble years ago?

 

Anyways I'm digging a little too deep in this it seems.

I was refering to the first post.

I agree, it does seem wierd that this 7 foot monster could get "beat up" by this mom - maybe they just wanted to make it sound better, who knows.

She did use a bat to beat him up.
Before she knew he was a sex offender, she saw him talking with her 10 year old daughter.
