It has been itching since some time the party virus. Got my old n64 from the attic, and me and some friends started playing again like in the old days.

mario party 1,2,3 were awesome, so I was asking myself is it worth getting the one for the wii?

or should we keep playing the old ones?

The Best Mario Party was Nr.4
The Wii Version(Nr. 8) was not so good! But in my point off view better than 1,2,3
I hope Nr. 9 is better!

I've rented mario party 8 because I thought it would be a fun party game. I ended up playing Tanks (WiiPlay) all day with my friends instead. It's slow and not even fun.
Stay clear from this title :-/

I've had more fun with MP8 than all the GC versions combined. I love the new board structure. Especially Koopas Tycoon Town.

Keep in mind I never play it alone and agree as a single player game it's not the greatest but with friends and family it's a blast.

Depends if you play
"Drinking" Mario Party.
Changes the whole aspect of the game =)

Just played MP8 yesterday with the classic drink rules inplace.
(8 people, 4 teams of 2)
25 Turn game.
Good times.

My wife loves Mario Party 8 and I really enjoy it, however, if I knew Mario Party 9 was coming out soon, then I would say wait for 9.

8 doesn't support wide screen, which just annoys me with the side bars, and it seems like it is lacking in variation for mini-games that use the wii remote. However, I like it and there is really no reason not to buy it unless you don't like those types of games.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Mario Party has been dead ever since Nintendo put that microphone shit in the GC one.

Correction.Mario Party has been dead ever since Nintendo dropped the 64 from their name.

Mario Party 8 is kinda fun playing with my cousins. But I found the first 3 to be the best.
