I got the console based on pre-launch hype and the cheap price, of course.

I don't believe the OP is really serious about the Wii, and is instead trying to point out ways the PS3 is superior.

A-HA!! It was Old Man Jenkins, all along!! Anyway old man, NEVER trade in a console you own. It's always a bad idea. Anyway, a Wii costs $250. Buy it, and keep the PS3. Best of both worlds.

again you should ask this questions from owners that ahve both an HD console + a Wii  .they would answer that question better.But most of this website users are Wii only users so you will not get an unbiased answer if that's what you are looking for.

 It has some really fun games. No arguing that fact. But I would NOT trade in the Ps3 quality games for them. I have a shit ton more fun with a group of people with my wii than I do with any of it's single player games.

actually, here, a new ps3 40gig cost about as much as a new wii which is about $400 US. the funny thing is, when being resold, ps3 40gig's re-sale value (about $350) is much higher than the re-sale value of a wii (about $300 US). dont ask me why.

dont. 360 becomes boaring if you dont have friends to play with online.

Because I sold my PS3 b4 MGS4. Now I have to wait till Christmas to play it! Is it worth it to buy a PS3 just for it, because I might buy the bundle used around Christmas time.

IMO, and getting past all the questions I think rely largly on which way each individual user leans, I'll say this:

If you have an Xbox 360, then play MGS4, and trade the PS3 for a Wii, no question, do it asap. You're trading up, imo, but either way you're playing a redundant system if you own a 360.

If you don't own a 360, keep the PS3 and slowly sell off your games for it until you can afford a Wii and have both.

@ OP:

The one thing you didn't tell us are the games you want for the wii and what games you'd be getting bundled. If you want my opinion, it sounds like you are getting one of the worst deals I have ever heard of

i dunno, its got more positive media coverage of the 3 consoles...i think...no idea where i got that from though.
