 Crap is a little extreme. It is a 71 on Metacritic but when you put Chromehounds next to the Mechassault/Warrior franchise it is disappointing.

The guys behind Mech Assault are working on that game Fracture for Lucas Arts. It'll be out this Fall on Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3. Pre-order yours today at Gamestop and receive a complimentary Game Informer magazine and Donkey Kong lollipop.

MechAssault was the first game I played on XBoxLive. 5 years ago.

What was so bad about Chromehounds?

If you want to know what THE mech series is: Earthsiege.

I work with the developers that made Earthsiege...I hope that at some point in the future I can convince them to re-start the Earthsiege series. Atleast we do get a Lore sequel, which is similar to ES in a few months.

I played Earthsiege back in the day. If I recall correctly there was a hanger with a fat black man in it that was funny. Maybe that is a different game I am thinking of though. The game made a big deal about scavenging I believe.

You mean besides being able to buy better weapons than your opponents via microtransactions? For that reason alone, I'm quite glad Chromehounds died a fairly swift death.

Note: I am not against microtransactions per se, but (and it's a huge, glaring, neon "but") when you can buy additional weaponry and equipment that will give you the edge over other players in online matches, a line has been crossed. They be all for this in Asian MMOs, but let's keep that nonsense *out* of the West.

There was a good Mech game for the Jaguar I think it was probally the best game on the system, better than that junk AvP
