Xbox Live arcade games I would recommend are Bomberman Live and Uno. These are the only arcade games I still play.

@ Goosegaws and others, I had completely forgotten about Crackdown. If there's a demo available on XBL I'll give it a shot.

get assault heroes (400), if you are talking Live Arcade games.
Gripshift (800), Catan (800), or Aegis wing (free, ya dummy)

My favorite XBLA titles in no particular order are:

Assault Heroes 1&2
Castlevania:SotN
UnderTow
Pacman Championship Edition
Small Arms
Catan
N+

Hopefully that gives you some ideas, congrats on the free 360.

Very cool, Dallinor.

At any rate, a few notes:

1) Your X360 is louder than normal ones. The initial run of X360s had a pretty loud drive on them - since then, they've gone through 2-3 different DVD drives, and the newer ones are quite a bit quieter.

I don't think there are very many, if any, games that you can play online while downloading something else. However, you can play some demos, and most (if not all) XBLA games while downloading content.


Hmm, XBLA games..It really depends on what genre you want.

I'd suggest that you atleast demo:

Castlevainia SOTN (yes, I know you don't like other ones, but this one is the best. A demo never hurt, right?)
Soul Calibur
N+
Rez HD
Ikaruga
Commanders: Attack of the Genos
Puzzle Quest: CotW
Arkadian Warriors
Penny Arcade Adventures
Worms HD

Again, it really just depends on the genre you want. But those are probably the must-haves.

The modern Xbox360s are quieter than the original 60gb PS3's IMO.

I find that the noise is quite overwhelming especially when playing blu ray disks and I have to raise the volume up.

Have you watched the GDC ten minute walkthrough of Fable 2?

The character models are a little primitive (but so were the original Fable's) but the environments and lighting are as good or better than any other console game out there.

Graphics won't impede you're enjoyment of Fable 2, trust me.

ON topic:

You need to buy Gears of war, and MASS EFFECT, very good titles.

Also now that you mentioned it I cant wait for bioshock!

Utter rubbish.

I own a launch 60gb PS3 and a brand new 360, and I can assure everyone that has taken you at your word here that the 360 is significantly louder.

The only time the 360 is remotely quiet is when it is first booted up and has not yet launched the disc in its tray (and this is possibly the only time at which it is quieter than a PS3 playing a blu ray). At any other point in time it is much louder than the PS3, regardless of what the PS3 is playing.

The mods need to ban him, he is a huge troll
