Forums - Gaming - does every game get dropped down in average by unknown sites?

@ Fishie
Insults don't win debates... Just makes you lose them

Dont really care, I made my case and perfectly explained why certain scores are given the way they are early on and why others are lower the later they get released.

I am sorry if I stepped on any toes when I did so but the things I said are FACT, if people cant deal with FACTS because they dont like me or the way I deliver said facts so be it and we can just move on to the next thread where the exact same thing will happen again.

Ever heard of Final Fantasy VII? Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time? Super Mario 64? Halo 3?

Question: How many video games have gotten their own version of Mountain Dew? Answer, 1. That game would be the one I said was hyped beyond anything we have seen before, and also happens to be the last one on your list.

didnt SMB3 get its own movie to advertise it?

Yep... Mostly the review site used is IGN, Famistus and some other big ones along with gamesranking compilations

It should be noted alot of repliers believe Gamespot scores should be used on those forums...

but it still got a big traffic boost, also when TP received a 7 at a site it also got crashed down for a bit

I find that highly unlikely. All the nerd rage was spend on Gamespot for giving the game an 8.8 If this was the same website then I imagine they just suck at maintaining their website.

looking at mgs4 it is now down to 92.5,i remember it was over 94,then some sites went and rated it lower, does this happen to all the games and why?

If you checked, the 2 most reputable reviewers actually gave the lowest scores on MGS4: Eurogamer and EDGE.

Also, Imo less popular sites/mags are more honest since they aren't as pressured or moneyhatted by publishers.

There was that one movie where it was featured prominently, but that was nothing more than really good product placement. No where near the equivalent of your own brand of soft drink.

The groups that support using other sites switches based on recent gamespot reviews...

Such as after the MGS4 review
