Eurogamer, Netjak. Forgot the name of the others though. Just look at the lowest score recorded for MGS4 on gamerankings ofr the rest of the sites

 

Eurogamer is one opf the biggest most respected sites out there, why should they be barred from metacritic and gamerankings?

 

They only gave MGS4 an 8/10.  I think the game is better than that

 

They gave Gears an 8 as well

 

 

 they also gave SMg a 10 which they were spot on there,eurogamer gives high and low scores and always release the reviews on time

 Least affected by release hype, more time spent with the game and thus more time to find the flaws. less likely to view the game favorably due to recieving a free copy and other swag, or maybe you are just noticing those reviews more and that particular correlation doesn't exist. Honestly, without an actual detailed analysis of the situation you can't say the late scores are always the lowest. What normally lowers a games review average is a slew of reviews right in the middle of the highs and lows pulling it a bit closer to reality.

If it was reviewed late it was because the site/mag/whatever either didnt sign the Konami NDA or because they werent even invited to get early access to begin with.

 

 well since they didnt get early access doesnt that mean that their not popular and not professionals

What makes a review "professional"? Or is it a term given to simply the biggest or the one that gives favourable reviews?

 

 if they are not always the lowest then why is it that all the time a games average drops overtime?

I noticed you were calling out NTSC-UK; I used to read that site all the time and they have some of the best review staffers I have ever seen. They may seem to judge more harshly than other sites do, but that is the way things SHOULD be.
