What is thunder force?

 the game seems unpopular,and i dont even knoe who the dev is

I thought you played so many retro games how could you have missed thunder force? I have to admit though it is never been easy to find this game.

I guess it is one of the many I missed. What genre is it?

I can be wrong on this but if I'm not mistaken it's on of the first japanese shooters.

It's a side scrolling shooter. I believe they made 3 for the Sega Genesis and 1 for the Playstation. Thunderforce was a great shooter and is classic.
