Remember 22 million figure is without MGS4, this is why i believe MGS1 and 2 are undertracked here.

It's not a question whether it is undertracked or not. Every other source confirms that MGS1 is over 6 million and that MGS2 is past 7 million.

This site has no sales data for the GBC game, the Xbox port and a couple of others. It sounds about right if you factor those in.

Not impressive? 22 million copies is a commendable acheivement for any franchise, and is certainly impressive. And since over half of those sales are due to MGS1/2 alone... could you please tell me why it's not impressive?

How many has GTA series sold on ps2 alone... how many has halo sold on xbox alone... how many has call of duty series sold... i could go on and on.

dont get me wrong, its good but i dont think its anything incredible.

Halo series sold 22.91 million so far and 22 million for 3 MGS games is not impressive? Don't compare this game to GTA because its on another level just like Gran Turismo.

The way I see it the article was published just 2 days, so it probably has accounted the first 3 weeks of MGS4 in the 22 millions figure.

Hell, the article might even be including the other MS games: Portable Ops, Twin Snakes, Mobile.

Also, MGS1 and MGS2 were released on several platforms (MGS1 on PS1/PC, MGS2 on PS2/PC/Xbox) - just a bit of info.
