Forums - Nintendo - To Those That don't like Metroid Prime 2

I am curious as so many people don't rate Metroid Prime 2.

I was wondering what you guys hated about it.

I have not finished it yet but I love it way more than the First Metroid Prime game

I personally preferred MP2 to MP1.

I never managed to finish Metroid Prime, for some reason. My copy came with a demo of MP2, and I found the demo to be more enjoyable than the original.

IT was an amazing game, but prime 1 was better imo.

Way too much backtracking, and at the same time it felt really linear, and just plain boring to me.

I really need to finish it sometime...but sadly I don't even own the game. My cousin does, and he moved away before I could get around to finishing the game.

Most of the people say that there was too much backtracking.

+1 for sc94597.

Backtracking is a major flaw in this otherwise very solid title.

You guys do know that metroid invented backtracking, so it is a major benefit of a metroid game. The only problem with it is when its used too much. Metroid Prime 3 was the perfect balance of back tracking, and not backtracking.
