HI, guys i've been hearing a lot of people say that god of war and god of war 2 are one of the best game ever made for the ps2, unfortunately i have a 40gb ps3 and cant play these games and i am thinking of selling my 40gb to upgrade to a 60gb, is the experience worth playing god of war, and god of war 2 enough for me to sell my 40gb ps3, let me know please!

For just God of War 1/2?  Probably not.  For the entire PS2 library?  Definitely.

Buy a PS2... $99 in Target, brand new.

Yeah better buy a ps2 and and play gow 1-2 and wait for gow3.

Buy a PS2. The PS3 does a terrible job at rendering the games. No, God of War is not worth the upgrade alone. The Game is good but not good enough to get rid of a 40GB PS3 for a 60 or 80.

Anyway they're right better buy a PS2, it's cheap and it will spare you some trouble.

Yeah , I agree , buy a used PS2 instead . But yeah even if you dont GoW worths it ;)

Unless you don't have space for another console, just get a PS2.

And the PS3 does a bang-up job of rendering PS2 games. It has a smoothing feature that irons out the aliasing and makes the games look better than ever. GOW2, in particular.

BTW, if you have some old PS1 games lyin' around, your 40G will play those.

Buy a PS2 instead of upgrading the model of your PS3. If you are a Guitar Hero fan, you can play all of the older Guitar Hero games which are not compatible with any PS3 model. As for God of War...those games are phenomenal. I shudder to think what a next gen version will accomplish.

Why is it stretched?  God of War II has a widescreen mode, you know. >_>

Hell, you can even unlock a 720p mode.
